MacBook’s touch bar is now compatible with Adobe Photoshop

Few months ago, Apple released their all new MacBook pro with the all new touch bar. And today, Adobe has made the touch bar compatible with the new version of Photoshop! Though it is said that its a technology preview feature you can try it out if you have the new MacBook pro.

You can enable this feature by selecting Preferences > Technology Previews > Enable Touch Bar in Photoshop.

Choose the controls you want

By default, Apple has reserved some part of the touch bar for macOS controls, but the middle part of the touch bar can be used for apps such as Photoshop

Touch Bar modes in Photoshop

There are three available modes for the touch bar which you can use in Photoshop:

  • Layer Properties: Lets you work with Layer properties and related functions,
  • Brushes: Lets you work with brush and paint properties, and
  • Favorites: A customizable mode that lets you add your favorite controls to the Touch Bar.

You can add or delete controls to any of these three modules

You can disable this feature by deselecting Preferences > Technology Previews > Enable Touch Bar in Photoshop.
